Promoting Sustainable Tourism in Hawai\u02bbi<\/h4>
For over 30 years the Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawai\u02bbi has promoted sustainable tourism through innovative initiatives and programs aimed at protecting our natural and cultural resources.<\/div>\n<\/div>

CERTIFICATION PROGRAM<\/h4>
STAH’s Sustainable Tour Operator Certification Program is the only third-party tour certification in Hawai\u02bbi, and one of the only ones in the United States. The program supports tour operators spread across the state and promotes the adoption of a “Triple Bottom Line.” Certified operators uphold high standards of community involvement, environmental protection, and employee management. SUSTAINABLE TOURISM<\/h4>
STAH is a non-profit organization committed to diversifying Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s travel industry and advocating for sustainable tourism and programs. We strive to educate visitors, businesses, and community members on the benefits of sustainable tourism for Hawai\u02bbi. In addition, we seek to serve as the conduit between the tourism industry and community-based conservation efforts.<\/div>\n<\/div>

Celebrating Our Founder – Annette Kaohelaulii<\/h2>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

Annette was an inspiration to all of us who were working towards making Hawaii\u02bbs a more sustainable, eco-friendly travel destination. Annette educated guests about our islands during guided birding and ecosystem adventures. A champion of “Travel Pono” initiatives, she was an active volunteer at every event that helped push sustainability, ecotourism, and responsible travel. Her contributions towards the current regenerative tourism trend started decades ago, and we work hard to maintain that vision.<\/p>\n

Her celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, from 10 am to 1 pm at Kealohi Point Banquet Hall at He’eia State Park (46-465 Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe, HI 96744<\/a>). Please kindly RSVP ohanakaohelaulii@gmail.com<\/a> by August 28th. Mahalo.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
